I used to think settling beef through fighting was good, but I see its just unnecessary and dangerous. Better to resolve the issue in a peaceful manner by forgiving and loving your enemy. If one person is aggressive just let it go and move on.

This happened when I was teaching MMA. One was a guy who had visited our gym over a few months. He was a Greco wrestler who was huge but a novice in submissions. He hurt two of my full time students on separate occasions and I witnessed how he lost control the second time. He didn't want to hear my correction so I set up the fight. We fought and he tapped after I ended up tearing his elbow ligaments from a keylock. The other fight was after I heard one of my guys got drunk and beat up a barback and bouncer at a local bar. We fought but he wouldn't fight back so I slapped him and made him go there and apologize. Sometimes a hard lesson is necessary and better than pulling guns or fighting on concrete. As a coach you are the example and lessons can life lessons sometimes not just fighting.

I've wrestled a few years (freestyle and greco), before joining the BJJ bandwagon, and honestly, indeed, jiujitsu guys don't know snap down and don't know shit ton load of wrestling, reason why its often possible to stop the course of their progress when rolling.

LOL :) i can understand 2nd guy is not happy.... he gets takedown than gets an incredible fast -1 Point for stalling that was way too early and then gets a 2nd -1 point when he gets hugged from bottom... The idea is to give -1 Point to the guy on top when the bottom guy is working to escape and the top guy is just defending trying to save his point from takedown over time..having no intention to do anything from top.... but here he gets minor points despite both guys just stalling wtf. You get takedown , bottom guy just hugs and holds... which leads to you losing the match for stalling ? clearly poor judging
